Since starting working with Yoomailit I’ve been on a quest to discover ways to improve email campaigns so I can share them with you on our blog. As I work with email marketing every day, I’m aware of a few tips and tricks already but I often find it’s easy to ignore the basics. In an earlier blog we discussed the importance of email frequency. Today’s tip can be considered even more important than frequency… it’s Consistency. I know it sounds very simple and basic, but there are a lot of benefits in creating consistent email campaigns. Recently I read a few great blogs about email consistency. To make life simple, I’ve included a summary that tells you how consistency can improve your email campaigns.
1. Consistency in timing: Make sure that you send out your campaign on set dates and times so your recipients know when to expect your email campaigns (like a newspaper or a magazine).
2. Consistency in headlines: Although you will cover different topics in your email campaign, the way that the headlines are written should be consistent – brief, powerful, and enticing.
3. Consistency in format: You really need to keep your layout consistent so people who enjoy scanning your content will feel familiar with it, this will help them to recognise your email campaigns immediately.
4. Consistency in actions: Make sure that people know that if they click a link, it will bring them to the full article.
That concludes another great tip for you! Keep it consistent.
